Natural leather will show more natural markings, such as insect bites, scars and stretch marks, as well as colour variations. These colour variations can occur within the same hide because there is no finish applied to give the look of consistent colour. This is an indication of the authenticity of the leather, and should not be considered a defect. Actually, it should be treated as a ‘mark’ of true, high-quality leather.

We use natural leathers and they will age and fade over time. We recommend the simple method of using cold water without soap (avoid all chemicals). Living in a dry climate we recommend moisturising your bags every 3-5 months (beeswax is great) Our bags are sensitive to water. When the bag gets wet, the natural oils tend to seep out. We recommend using waterproofing waxes and creams and this should only really need doing once a year if you’re in a wet climate. Always patch test the product first.
